History of Precision Metal Fabrication

Incorporated in 1994, by Scott Berkowitz and Joseph Amico, to provide industrial rack mount enclosures for the growing PC market, EVS Metal found a sheet metal market looking for a company with a fresh approach to providing precision sheet metal. Over time EVS expanded the markets it dealt with to include the consumer electronics, computer, telecommunications, medical, semiconductor, gaming, power backup, audio/video, and gas/oil extraction industries.

Originally housed in a 5,000 square foot facility, EVS grew rapidly by leveraging technology, flexibility, and skill in both fabrication and design to provide the highest quality products at competitive prices with a level of service and engineering expertise that all but guaranteed customer retention. From the beginning EVS Metal specialized in providing engineering assistance, fabricating complex assemblies and providing value added assembly. In 1998 the business moved to its present location, and today has expanded to an adjacent building to a total combined 80,000 square feet of manufacturing, employing over 120 highly skilled employees in an ISO9001:2008 certified environment featuring an in-house finishing department.

In 2001 EVS Metal established a second facility in Austin, Texas. Utilizing the same principles and quality and business systems, our Texas facility has grown to over 75 employees housed in a 43,000 square foot facility in Pflugerville, just outside of Austin. A unique capability of the TX facility is working with number eight polished stainless steel to provide a highly cosmetic end product. In addition to fabrication, the TX facility also specializes in machining and fabrication of complex welded assemblies and frames.

In October of 2008 EVS purchased the assets of the Holden Company, establishing our third facility. Located in Keene, New Hampshire it is housed in a 32,000 square foot facility. The EVS New Hampshire facility is capable of fabricating metal products from small to large runs, but specializes in large complicated weldments fabricated out of sheet as well as tubular metal. Like our other facilities our New Hampshire features in finishing including both powder coat and wet paint applications.
